]]> The Walton is a cozy cottage that could serve as a very livable year-round home for a couple who has moved on to a simpler life after raising a family, or for a single person.

The open-concept main floor has a living room and a vaulted kitchen/dining area adjoining the deck for inside-outside living. We have added a main floor bedroom to this revised version, which could also be used as an office, and there is a full bath on the main floor.

You’ll enjoy the beautiful master bedroom and full bath upstairs. There is also a loft area overlooking the kitchen/dining area, which would make a lovely work space or reading nook.

There are detailed drawings of all the joints in the frame, as well as peg placements.

3. Construction Section and Foundation

Drawings are supplied for both a 10” and 8’ foundation wall thickness, and for three optional enclosure systems. Details for an optional timber sill are provided as well.
