Ralph McBryan's do-it-yourself timber frame home
Ralph McBryan, a hardy northern "do it yourselfer" in Watson
Lake in the Yukon, hired us last fall to help him design his timber
frame, complete with joinery details.
This was no walk in the park. Ralph's large frame has two fully framed dormers, and the main posts are round logs.

With "raccoon
like" persistence, he managed cut his
way through the pile of 9x9's, and there it is.
Watson Lake is just north of 60 degrees latitude. The group
shot below was taken at midnight!
